The blurb had me imagining a different story and I was not enamoured with the one I read. I rated it 4 stars because technically it is a good book, just not what I wanted. It felt long winded and the long running issue between Ellie and Michael wasn't really resolved at all. That Maria was constantly hot/cold I didn't feel at all sorry for Maria. The supporting characters developed throughout and I felt more invested in them and the job then the main "relationship". The ending was pretty open ended and I didn't feel like it gave me any closure. It is a good read though and I do think others will enjoy it it just wasn't what I was looking for at the time.

This is a very angsty romance. Both characteres are complexes and their relationship is a rollercoaster and full of prejudice.
I really liked the places's descriptions: it really helps creating the background.

I like the story but wish one final proof could be done to it. Initially, the mistakes prevented me from actually getting lost into the essence of the story. The main character is delightful and the issues that are touched upon within the realms of gay/straight relationships - friendship and role models was the main reason why I continued to read the book. To other readers I would suggest that you ignore the mistakes and concentrate on the story because it is a worthwhile read.
