著者について

Ian Andrew grew up in the coastal town of Larne, Northern Ireland. He joined the Royal Air Force at age eighteen and worked initially as an aircraft technician before being commissioned as an Intelligence Officer. After serving for two decades he relocated, with his Australian wife, to the rural South West of Western Australia. Surrounded by a resident mob of kangaroos, he is currently working on the next novel in the Wright & Tran series of detective stories.

I really enjoyed this book. Its different.....its about women doing their job, doing it well and not being victimized, used for gratuitous sex scenes or saved at the last minute by male protagonists. Ian Andrew has written a winning story about strong, smart, professional former elite soldiers who hold the respect of British intelligence and those who hire them. This is very well written and an engaging page turner for all ages and genders. Well done, Mr Andrew!

Gripping and intriguing, full of surprises. I loved the writing style of the author and his descriptive text brought the characters to life. The lead characters Wright and Tran are totally different but compelling and complementary to each other - you can see how this relationship might work. The story line is quite dark but never hits on macabre. The drama is nicely balanced with a touch of humour from the interactions of the cast of characters and makes for one of the best reads I have had for some time.

Definitely rates up there with one of my favourite reads.

I'm not usually a fan of books that don't involve wizards, or dragons, or time travel.. you get the gist. But boy did Ian Andrew suck me in with this thrilling story! A real page turner that kept me glued to the page until I'd finished, because I NEEDED to know what happened next. I can't wait to see what Kara and Tien get up to next!

Loved this book. Couldn't put it down. From the strong female central characters to the Russian mobsters I almost felt like I'd met the people. Clever story that had my thoughts racing ahead at the possibilitys, look forward to the next installment of Wright & Tran by Ian Andrew who is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
