Born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, Meghan O&;Brien relocated to Windsor, California, in October 2005. As a recent transplant, she&;s enjoying the moderate weather and gorgeous scenery of the Bay Area. Meghan lives with her partner Angie, their young son, three cats, and three dogs. Yes, it can be just as chaotic as it sounds.

Meghan works as a Web developer for a major corporation, but her real passion is
writing. From her humble beginnings creating numerous “books&; out of construction
paper and crayons as soon as she learned to write, to her published novels and
various anthology contributions in the past several years, writing is what makes her feel most complete.

Once again an excellent work by Meghan O‘Brien.
A beautiful emotional, but also hopeful story about two woman struggling with their own demons.
And of course very hot and steamy

This book is hands down my favorite by Meghan O'Brien. Other than the fact that the writing and story in this book were absolutely beautiful, I could relate to one of the main characters. I saw so, so much of myself in Alice that it made me realize I wasn't alone, that there are other people out there who suffer from social anxiety too. Something had happened to me when I was 5 years old that I won't get into. Mine isn't so extreme where it makes me run off or hide, but the constant racing heart, sweat, cherry-red face, lump in throat, shaky hands, freezing up, all the physiological reactions are there. That on top of being a hardcore introvert doesn't really help at all. I don't think I have ever cried so much, so many times over a book. My heart physically ached reading about Alice and Rosa's story, but especially for sweet Alice. I just wanted to wrap her in my arms and tell her everything was going to be okay. I really enjoyed yet also envied reading about her transformation and growth throughout the book. It's something I'm constantly working on and will probably always work on my whole life, but it made me realize that I should be proud of myself with every little accomplishment or achievement I make. This book will definitely be on my reread list and will stay with me for a long time. And I can't write a review about a Meghan O'Brien book without commenting on the sex scenes. Absolutely hot. One of the best when it comes to writing them. Oh, and I love the cover of the book so much.

I just finished reading this book and I am very glad that I decided to buy it. I've loved some of O'Brien's others novels so came into it with high expectations and I have to say that she did not disappoint. This book touched on some very real and serious topics that aren't often written about in fiction but are very real issues.

The sex scenes were some of the best that I've read in my years reading lesbian fiction. They could have been pushed too far for my personal liking but in my opinion there was a great amount of "kink" without going too far. Though, I wouldn't have mind reading about what happened when they got back to Rosa's place!

I'd definitely recommend this book.

Oh my yet another brilliant offering from Ms O' Brien. So well written with two awesome leading ladies Alice and Rosa both dealing with awful personal demons plus wonderful supporting character's I defy anybody not to get hooked into this book. I could not put it down once started so be prepared, very emotional in places where the author drags you into the pain that these two wonderful women have been through also the pleasure as they both grapple with trying to overcome their demons. This book is also so hot you might need breaks to deal with your own discomfort !!! So treat yourself and enjoy
