It’s a fun romance with well constructed characters, both major and minor and I appreciated that the happy ending didn’t dive too deeply into Hallmark territory.

After reading the Compass Books Series and The Scent of Rome, Lise Gold takes me through a French Summer. I love everyone of those and the more I read her stories the more I know she won't disappoint.
She travels a lot and she's curious about different places all over the world.
But the best is how she weaves the plot between her main characters. Always believable with possible struggling and great love scenes and a happily ever after.
You'll go on a trip with Nat and Lena and fall in love with one or the other and maybe both of them.
Being French Canadian and gone to South of France, she took me on memory lane with the scenery, the sightseeing, the food and the wine and I long to return. Thanks Lise, 🇲🇶🇨🇦💐💜

This is the fourth book I've read by Lise Gold now and she has fast become one of my favourite authors. All of her books are extremely romantic and a tad steamy, sometimes covering characters serious struggles and life challenges.
This was an enjoyable, light read with a little angst but not too much. A lovely summer read!

J’ai adoré la première moitié du livre, qui certes se concentre autour de la construction de la relation (et l’auteur réussit très bien cette partie) mais qui évoque aussi d’autres personnages. C’est vivant et on ne s’ennuie pas. On découvre les personnages’ leur personnalité et la région que l’auteur semble bien connaître (le Sud de la France) à tel point que l’on a l’impression d’y être. C’est très agréable en cette période d’hiver. La seconde moitié m’a moins convaincue car c’est très concentré sur les deux personnages principaux et je me suis un peu ennuyée. Une impression globale néanmoins très positive.
