As someone who only began to make my own pickles, jams, and marmalades last year, I really appreciate books that give me guidance and new ideas to try, and recipes that take my own practice further. This book does both and is one of the best books on the topic I've added to my library.
* Practically every single recipe uses less sugar than other writers suggest you use. You won't believe how fresh and bright these preserves taste!
* The book details simplified sterilisation techniques. It's so quick and easy to do jars and lids in a pan on the stove instead of using your oven!
* There is more than just practical advice here - Pam's writing is imbued with warmth and encouragement.
* The design is beautiful. It's a gorgeous book to use, and even more so to look at.
I wish I had bought a copy sooner. I can't wait for marmalade season to start!
