The characters are well developed and the past that haunts Kara, our heroine is gradually revealed. Kara through unconditional love finds a way to be the woman and not a shadow hiding from life. You will throughly enjoy this story of survival from abuse and betrayal.

I read these books at least 3 years ago and can still remember them (I read a lot) I have never contacted an author before but I did after reading these then imagine my joy when a fourth one came out! Oh I might have to re-read them all

Slowly Sloan finds his way into Kara’s life again, after being forced to let her go and move on with his life all those years ago. Kara with a fractured past, Sloan a possessive alpha dominant in the boardroom and successful in the bedroom, he always gets what he wants, and what he wants is her.

There intimacy takes you by surprise, it is so unexpected and hot.
Kara beautifully damaged, perfectly broken, perfectly made for him, because she was his, of that there was no doubt, his strong, brave, beautiful girl. The truths and the lies inevitably seek the light of day, the twists, the turns that lead to the inevitable, so gut wrenching yet devastating.

To remember when you have forced yourself to forget. To trust those who were meant to protect you failed. Only to tread a path one fears will eventually destroy them. Desperately wanting everything that has been stolen from them, but too frightened to take the risk, they have all but convinced themselves that there choices are the right ones. Facing up to those consequences of there choices and the decisions they have made, running is no longer an option. Kara finally allows herself to release the guilt that consumed her past. Sloan is the lightness that she needs. Her prince has come to her rescue.

There story was raw and sensual, as it was powerful and confronting. Even though they had issues they needed to work through, there love for each other heartbreakingly beautiful. It was fast paced and thrilling, it made my heart race and soar to unfathomable heights. The need to see there growing attraction, the dominance and possessiveness, darkness and depravity, the lust and fear, to own, retaliate, to take control, god it was hot.

From the first word to the last, I was hooked, could not put this book down, such a roller coaster of emotions. This author clearly knows how to hook and ensnare her readers to ensure they come back for more, me I’ll definitely come back for more from this author for sure!

The dark themes and triggers were gut wrenching and soul destroying, yet were defining pivotal moments that made these characters all the more stronger. The development of each character written perfectly.

The different points of view told a telling story, all connected very well, including the intricate family dynamics between Kara, Sloan, Marie, John, Charlotte, Jake, Samantha, Sophie, Stuart and the secondary characters. This story is of new beginnings, finding ones self and confronting the past. This circle of family and friends is so close and tight nit nothing could break them apart.

There were definitely moments that will make you laugh, cry, bang your head against the wall and say WTF, the reader will totally immerse themselves, to get lost in the entirety of the story, gasping for breath long after the story has finished.

And those s€x scenes in and out of the bedroom were daring, the language and dirty talk was filthy, provocative, possessive, emotional, intense, controlling, oh so steamy, deliciously wicked, dirty, hot, beautiful, sensually erotic, naughty , rough, powerful, passionate, wet, dominating and wild. There happily ever after was absolutely perfect, it couldn’t have been said any better if I had written it myself.
