La cuerda está fenomenal trabajo mi espalda, hombros, antebrazos y las muñecas sobretodo, me encantó el producto y sin duda compraría de más peso si lo hubiera de esta misma marca, los guantes de obsequio están aceptables.

I am just over 5’ 8” and bought the longer rope. It’s too long in my opinion. Some reviews said the rope was shorter than advertised and others my height said the longer rope was perfect so I got the longer one. Although I can use it I have to hold the rope further out to my sides or below the grips if I want to keep my arms in a more natural and comfortable position. I have normal length arms so unless you have stubby arms or really long arms just use their recommendation. As for the rope itself. It will kick your butt. I do MMA and skip rope for 3 minute intervals with body weight exercises in between intervals up to 4 intervals usually. There’s no way I could do it with this rope. After 50 reps I was breathing hard. I bought the 1” diameter with sleeve. I put down card board as added protection against abrasion. This rope is an awesome fitness tool. I have 1.5” battle ropes too and I’d say this will tire you even faster. Simple but effective cardio and strength workout.
Update: I’m getting used to the longer length. Overall if it was about 6” short I’d say it would be perfect but you can get used to it if it’s just a bit long. Yesterday I did 70 reps followed by a minute rest then 60 reps and kept resting between sets reducing down to 20 reps for my last set. I felt completely exhausted by the end. The only cardio exercises I find comparible are burpees and box jumps. What I like about this is it keeps you honest. You can’t cheat by slowing down your cadence. You have to maintain your pace or you’ll trip up your rope. It is like having a coach push your pace.
I don’t use the gloves that come with it. I want my hands to toughen. This rope will do that but not to the point you are getting blisters. You’ll also feel your wrists, grip, and forearms getting stronger.
Update after a year:
After a few months of using this a few times a week doing ten sets of max reps with one minute rest intervals I was up to 270 reps non stop on my first set. My cardio improved drastically. It’s odd though that when going back to a regular speed rope it didn’t really translate as much as I thought. I do feel it improved my stamina in jui jitsu matches noticeably. I could exert all out effort more often on the mat and my opponents would tire sooner than me. My goal is to work up to 500 reps non stop.
If you want to lose fat, burn more calories, and do resistance workout at the same time, then this heavy rope might be a great choice. I have Everlast leather jump rope that I have been using for years and I love using it to do cardio exercise and burn calories (I do 1000 jump ropes within 8 mins). But I also wanted to do some resistance workout while I jump rope and this heavy rope meets that purpose. W.O.W. 1. It will give you an intense cardio exercise (ex. sprint vs. jogging. Sprint will give you that intense cardio exercise). I mean, I was huffing and puffing. 2. Your forearm, shoulder, back, and abs will feel it. I was sore after doing heavy rope exercise. 3. I was more tired doing 150 in 8 mins than doing 1000 ropes in 8 mins. I love this workout. If you are a beginner, be careful. Slowly build up the endurance to do more. For my case, I did (150): 50 (rest), 30 (rest), 25 (rest), 25 (rest), and 20 (rest).
This is also well-made. A very good quality. And definitely use the gloves provided for better grip. So far after breaking it in, it has become easier to maneuver. I look forward to using this 6 times a week during my workout. If you want more than just a jump rope, get this. Highly recommended!
Not as heavy as I thoughtfully it would be but still a good rope. The only thing is your have to position your hand or turn your hand so that the rope doesnt slide away. On the middle where the main part will hit the ground I wrapped it in 550 cord in hope to get longevity from the rope. I did wish that I got just a little longer one . I am giving it 4 stars because of how you have to change your grip.
