Steve is madly in love with his eccentric girlfriend, Stacy. Unfortunately, their sex life has been suffering as of late, because Steve is worried about the odd noises that have been coming from Stacy's pubic region. She says that her vagina is haunted. She doesn't think it's that big of a deal. Steve, on the other hand, completely disagrees.

When a living corpse climbs out of her during an awkward night of sex, Stacy learns that her vagina is actually a doorway to another world. She persuades Steve to climb inside of her to explore this strange new place. But once inside, Steve finds it difficult to return... especially once he meets an oddly attractive woman named Fig, who lives within the lonely haunted world between Stacy's legs.

バカホラー、或いはお下劣ホラーとでも云うべき中編。男が知り合った女のアソコからは夜になると声が・・・彼女の半ば強制的な頼みに彼女のアソコを男は調べるが、彼女のアソコの中には異世界が拡がり、そこで彼女の子供時代の想像上の友達だった女性と出会うが・・・
それにしても、あのラストはハッピーエンド・・・なのだろうか。

I actually live in Beaverton so the Micro Brews and Portland vibe was a great prerequisite for this book, novel, adventure. I read about or approx 1/2 way then went out to the Str*p Club grabbed dos 2 chica’s brought them home and we read the book….Bizarre I mean you don’t want to be alone when reading this, there should be some sort of Consumer Warning a Health Advisory, you know? Some or several of the most subliminal phrases are kick *ss. So I give this whatever anyone or anybody wants to call it 11+. It just rocked me because it’s the very first Carlton writing….
It messed me up for several days thinking what could actually be happening in the underverse or otra system we live in.

I've always loved a book about "other places", I didn't think I'd ever read about one such realm being accessable via a vagina but I found myself wanting more. Once the story crosses into the alternate world it's easy to forget about the vaginal aspect of the story but the actual journey from our place of being to the other will be imprinted on your soul for a long time.

“I think my V is a gateway of some kind. That light you saw must be the light at the end of the tunnel. The entrance to another world.”

2⭐️ Umm…like I literally have no words for this. I feel as though the author has a very creative um imagination or has used some serious supplements to write this. I chose to read this as a buddyread for Halloween. It’s not poorly written persay, it flows, but the timeline is a bit distorted and the dialogue is very odd at times compared to the content the characters just experienced.
didn’t hate it but my gosh it was mega random! Very creative and quirky I’ll give it that!
The title says it all really! Not so much haunted, maybe more like inhabited. It’s random, bizarre, disturbingly though you’ll get sucked into the vortex too and won’t be able to stop. Um wow! That is all.

Steve und seine asiatische Freundin Stacy führen ein ganz normales Leben. Irgendwann jedoch kommen Stimmen aus Stacy's Vagina, und diese scheinen sie ganz schön zu nerven. Vor allem, wenn sie mit Steve im Bett ist. Doch damit nicht genug. An einem Tag ragt auf einmal eine Skeletthand samt Arm aus ihr heraus. Und die Stimmen hören nicht auf. Deshalb soll jemand nachsehen, was da drinnen vor sich geht. Und der auserkorene für das Abenteuer ist Steve. Erst sieht er nur von draußen nach, und er kann tatsächlich ein Licht in Stacy erkennen. Deshalb wird er kurz darauf rasiert und mit Babyöl eingerieben, damit er sich auf das Abenteuer durch das Licht hindurch einlassen kann. Und dort wartet eine fremde Welt auf ihn, die nicht nur Fig beinhaltet, sondern auch eine Horde von Skeletten, die nur darauf wartet, dass Steve ihnen zu nahe kommt. Doch es gibt eine weitere Gefahr, doch Steve hat diese einfach nicht bedacht, bis er sich ihr gegenüber sieht.

Wertung:

Aufgrund der Kurzgeschichten in "Der Baby-Jesus-Anal-Plug" musste ich diese Geschichte einfach ausprobieren, auch wenn sie bisher nur in Englisch vorliegt. Aber auch jemand, der nicht ganz so viel Englisch versteht, kommt mit dieser Novelle hier zurecht. Und das ist einfach nur bizarr und abgefahren, was hier geschrieben wird. Und selbst beim Lesen einer fremden Sprache, die ein gewisses Maß an Konzentration erfordert, habe ich mich köstlich amüsiert, und kann jedem nur raten, einfach mal sich auf dieses Abenteuer einzulassen. Die Geschichte passt auf jeden Fall in die diversen Kuriositätenkabinette und ich kann sie daher nur weiter empfehlen, hoffe aber dennoch irgendwann auf eine deutsche Veröffentlichung. Hier gibt es ohne wenn und aber 5 von 5! Außerdem schont sie mit ihren nicht mal 6 € dazu noch den Geldbeutel.

This is my first Mellick book finished, but far from my first bizarro book. Due to my location (Taiwan), I have been limited to whatever has been available to kindle users, and for the longest time that didn't get me access to Mellick's stuff, but thankfully several of his books are now online, and I bought this one up because, well, frankly the babe on the cover was the hottest.

This book was awesome. Short, but great. Lots of sex, usually weird sex, but it never feels inappropriate or out of place. And I didn't hate the main character like I often do in other Bizarro stories (Pickled Apocalypse anyone? Though that book was awesome too) The story is truly bizarre but strangely coherent and not weird for the sake of being weird, which as much as I like other authors in the genre, many of them seem to sink to that... The Haunted Vagina was "creatively weird", which is the best kind of weird.

The narrative style was very straightforward. I didn't find myself impressed by the vocabulary used. It was all very, shall we say, "accessible". That being said, it wasn't the vocabulary that struck me, but the voice, which was self-aware, intelligent, full of detail and pondering. I appreciated this as a sometimes-writer.

Summary:
If his other books are as good as this one, I'll find myself a fan quickly.

...Not a big furry guy though, and from what I can tell there's some furry crap in his other books. Definitely going to give it all a try though.
