Mr. Andrews (60+, lawyer) informed Mrs. Ettie Smith & Ava Glick (eldest daughter) what they would receive from Agatha’s estate.
Ettie took Elsa-May (80+, older sister, Amish) & Jeremiah (grandson, Amish) to look at the house/property she just inherited.
Jeremiah came back inside after looking under the house.
There’s a man’s body under the house wrapped in plastic.
The body was taken to the morgue to be examined.
Detective Keith Kelly came to interview Ettie & Elsa-May.
The corpse had been ID as Horace Hostetler (Amish).
He had been hit in the back of his head.
Horace had disappeared on his rumspringa.
Ettie went to talk with Doris Hostetler (90+, mother) & Sadie Hostetler (60+, daughter/sister, spinster).
The Bishop stood by Horace’s grave & gave his blessing.
The 2 amateur sleuths: Ettie & Elsa-May were doing their own investigation on the murder.
Jeremiah had found a small yellow envelope when he was replacing the floorboards.
Joshua Yoder is now engaged to Peggy Schroder.
Could Horace have taken the diamonds?

An awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very professionally written Amish Cozy Mystery book. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a huge description list of unique characters, settings, facts etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great Amish Cozy Mystery movie, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Therein lies the possibility I won't be able to stop thinking about Ettie, her sister, Jeremiah, and Ava and I'll return to this series later, but for now...
I think I'll read "The Inmate" by Freida McFadden next because I'm ready for a serious mystery thriller and McFadden delivers.
