This is an eye opening, heart wrenching story that unfortunately happens to many. It is one woman's journey through the dark shadows of domestic violence and into the glorious light and life our Savior, Jesus Christ offers free to all! Satan is the master of deceit and shows his evil in many ways. For many years I tried to put the past behind me and move forward with life. And yet in the back of my mind something has never been quite right. I wondered what was wrong with me? After reading "Abused Without Mercy" I broke inside! Deeply buried memories suddenly resurfaced and my tears flowed like a river! For the very first time I really understood! I was living life believing I was damaged goods, never quite good enough. While the memories were unpleasant, the healing flowed through my spirit like a very cool, bubbling stream. What precious refreshment! I knew Christ forgave me when I had asked years before, I had pushed everything away and never understood I needed emotional healing as well! The abuse was NOT my fault! It was NOT something I deserved or brought on myself! I encourage everyone to read this book! It is a great encouragement as well as testimony of God's perfect restoration!

I found as I journeyed through the pages of 'Abused' my heart was stirred with compassion, for young Cara, who was in search for love and acceptance, and how her desperate search lead to grief and sorrow and tragedy! I found I just wanted to take this young woman and comfort her! She was like a butterfly caught in a spiders web, unable to escape, and fly away to freedom! she was trapped, caught in a web too strong to break free from. I found it inspiring that she found help in God and leaned on Him, at every desperate time she needed, and how He showed He was with her when she stood alone! It was heartening to see that she finally was able to make good her escape. The pages of this book will stir your heart, but encourage you that even though abusive relationships can seem impossible to break away from, things are subject to change! As Cara, finally did & found the love & happiness she was searching for!
