No man's land: A suspenseful gritty action wilderness thriller (English Edition) Kindle版
Author Mark La Croix has left the hustle and bustle of the city and is leading a quiet life in a cabin, deep inside the Colorado Rockies. While working on his latest novel, he makes a gruesome discovery and uncovers secrets that some would want to remain dead and buried. Soon Mark becomes a target and is forced to run for his life. The nearest town is thirty miles away, and the only way to escape is through the forest. The people chasing him are hot on his heels, and will stop at nothing to prevent him from getting out of the wilderness alive.
A fast paced suspense novel in the vein of first blood, where the protagonist is pushed to the limit and determined to survive at all costs. And a must read for lovers of crime novels, crime thrillers and suspenseful books.

It kept me wondering what was going to happen and how he was going to survive. Great right up to the end.

I really enjoyed this book, my first by the author, I liked the writing style, fast paced and gripping, keeping the reader involved, wondering if Mark has any chance of surviving another day. I recommend this book if you enjoy a fast non-stop read..

Fast and furious as the tempo would never cease for a moment. An extremely interesting hide and seek situation between the hunter and the hunted.

No Man's Land by Hervey Copeland is very intense and thrilling tale that kept me absolutely hooked. I just needed to know what happened next.
This book is formatted in a way that begins with a chapter from 1975. Something very dramatic happens, but before you get to learn what is going on, it suddenly jumps to 2015 in the next chapter. From there, we stick with a storyline centering around the main character, Mark La Croix.
I found myself drawn to Mark's character right away. I mean, an author that buys a cabin in the woods to seclude himself so he can write? I love it!
I really enjoyed the beginning where we got to learn a little about Mark and see him working on the house. But then the discovery mentioned in the synopsis occurs, and we're off and running! Literally.
This novella was so well written! Everything flowed wonderfully and each element of surprise was written perfectly. I loved how many curve balls were thrown at the reader. More than a couple times, when something suddenly occurred, I felt my stomach drop.
If you enjoy thrillers, you have to check this one out! I'm such a sucker for thrillers and horror stories set in the woods... and I can definitely see myself rereading this one time and time again!

I stumbled across this book on Amazon by sheer chance and I’m so glad I did. It took me out of my normal genre a little yet I found it to be a great read. Fast paced, gripping and exciting from start to finish. I’ve already purchased another book by the author as I enjoyed this so much.
