Book six was different yet the same. Old friends are back and better than ever. Eva and Zoe are incredible,.as always. The twins have only added to their love for one another, if that was even possible. Their level of commitment is even more intense. Nor the Battle to the Strong has much of its focus on Eva's return to the place of her torture, Aiden. Eva is much stronger now as are her gifts and she uses them in surprising ways. Other writers should take notes on how to write intimate scenes. Readers do not need every graphic detail and it doesn't have to happen in every chapter. Mary does a superb job with this. She also refuses to allow the Holocaust to fade into the background. She treats it with blunt truths and refuses to sidestep the realities of the aftermath. Other mysteries arise that I think will be featured later on. Thanks for the all too brief look into S and T past. Would LOVE more on them. Thanks for ignoring my selfish attempts to convince you to rush this book. The wait was worth it. I encourage everyone to read this series because it is truly unforgettable. And if any other writers read this review, stop being so afraid of the Holocaust. It needs to be addressed in every genre. Just because a writer adds moments of inhumanity to their book doesn't make it doomed to fail. As tragic as the Holocaust was there was still love, friendship, and, sometimes family albeit unlikely considering the scope of murder that took place. Thanks for a great book and and thanks for your courage to go off the grid. Other writers could learn from the example you have set. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

I have just finished book number 10 in the Intertwined Souls Series and I am so sorry that I am at the end (for the moment anyway until Mary finishes the next one). I don't enjoy reading but for the last 7 weeks, I have read all 10 of Mary D's books in this series and am lost for words. If you asked me which one was my favourite, I wouldn't be able to tell you. Each book has its own inspiring tale and once one book was completed, I couldn't wait to start the next. A story of war, loss, hate, forgiveness and a love that endures all that it encounters. I urge you to give this series a chance. If for some reason you start reading the first book in the series, Enemy at the Gate and aren't enjoying it, I implore you to persevere and you will not be sorry that you did. Go in with an open mind and by the end of the series I can assure you that you will be touch in some way...

I’m a big fan of this lady's books and I always look forward to getting the next one. They may be written for a clique genre but I think Eva and Zoe speak to a far broader audience of readers. Their romance has survived the ups and downs of multiple books and always blossomed as a result of it. I can’t think of two more endearing characters in a book I‘ve read. As usual I can’t fault the series and this release has again met my expectations.

A promise is a promise and Ms. Brooks latest novel promises to be an amazing book, but not only does it promise..it delivers!!! This is a beautiful love story, with a bit of magic, and some interesting history. The characters in this book have grown and, they've matured. They always had depth but in this book we see them coming into their own.. The love story is tender and sweet, and there is not an over abundance of sexual content but what there is, is never vulgar or in any way offensive. I don't want to give away any spoilers. But, the strength, the character and the integrity of Zoe and Eva will stay with you long after you have finished the book. I highly recommend this novel.

Another lovely release in this series. I have yet to read one I haven’t enjoyed immensely and this latest one was no different. Reading it was like revisiting old friends. The magic is still there and I can only hope there are more to come.
