The Haunting At Mango Flat: Murder. Mystery. Mangoes. (English Edition) Kindle版
Three people are dead. Locked in a police interview room and spattered with blood, veteran newspaper reporter Jack Jackson recounts a bizarre story to two detectives...
While following up on a routine news report – routine for Darwin City at least - Jack learns that some very odd things are happening at an isolated farmhouse out of town. Knives are flying through the air, shoes are moving around by themselves and somebody – or something – is leaving the name of a dead boy in gravel on the bathroom floor.
Jack doesn’t believe in ghosts, but news is news, and everyone loves a ghost story.
As Jack draws closer to the truth, a seemingly straight forward chase for tabloid gold suddenly turns into a hunt for a killer...

Great read that really captures the feel of the Top End

Mango Flat is a ripping thriller and murder mystery as soaked in Darwin sweat as a blue singlet in February. Wicking captures the wackiness of the Top End, and especially the grit and grime of the tabloid newspaper here called the Northern Reporter. Dark, mysterious and witty, The Haunting at Mango Flat demonstrates that Wicking is maturing as a writer, bringing his colourful characters to life while keeping the plot racing.

I didn't think that Colin could top his first book, Cauldron, but he has managed to with this book. The Haunting at Mango Flat makes you feel like you know what it would feel like to live in Darwin even if you have never been there. Brilliant whodunnit with a suspenseful supernatural theme that keeps you interested until the end. I think Colin has spent many hours in front of the tv watching Ghost Adventures to be able to have the latest ghost hunting equipment and the feel of a ghost hunt described perfectly. Cannot wait for his next book.

Really enjoyed reading this. Plenty of NT trivia smattered around a humorous but racy plot line. No cartoons, but the caricature personalities of the characters are a treat. Please write more, we will definitely buy it

Fabulous second novel from this celebrated Darwin writer.
Being a Darwinite it’s a fun read as you try to place locations and people into the story. A good story, with lots of chuckles and the irreverent humour you expect from Colin Wicking, that builds to an explosive conclusion.
