I’m a sucker for sports romances, especially when the focus is on baseball, so I had been looking forward to Stealing Home all year. And guess what? It did not disappoint. I loved Ryan and her passion for her family’s business and how hard she works to achieve her dream of managing the minor league team herself one day. I loved sweet Sawyer and the chemistry he has with Ryan. I loved Ryan’s best friend, her relationship with her dad, and of course the baseball. The writing was so strong and Ryan’s voice kept me hooked and rooting for her the Buckley Beavers the entire time. This book had it all and is a perfect summer read!

Stealing Home was the perfect read for summer. I love seeing Ryan as a smart strong female character with goals and plans to achieve those goals. But I also loved Sawyer as a genuinely good, hard working and respectful love interest. It was easy to get wrapped up in wanting to see them both succeed. As individuals and together. I look forward to sharing this one with my daughter—she’s just getting into YA romance books and this one has all the things I’m happy for her to read.

I really enjoyed reading this book and even more breaking down all the feels. It's baseball mixed with summertime. It's goals, dreams and hard work. It's life trials, perseverance, endurance and forgiveness. It's family, friends, love and romance. All wrapped up with a happy ending. I would recommend to my book reading friends and my YA daughter. Lot of good things shared from this book.
