All the Stars and Teeth (English Edition) Kindle版
Named as one of Entertainment Weekly's most anticipated books of 2020, Adalyn Grace's All the Stars and Teeth is a thrilling fantasy for fans of Stephanie Garber's Caraval and Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass series.
As princess of the island kingdom Visidia, Amora Montara has spent her entire life training to be High Animancer - the master of souls. The rest of the realm can choose their magic, but for Amora, it's never been a choice. To secure her place as heir to the throne, she must prove her mastery of the monarchy's dangerous soul magic.
When her demonstration goes awry, Amora is forced to flee. She strikes a deal with Bastian, a mysterious pirate: he'll help her prove she's fit to rule, if she'll help him reclaim his stolen magic.
But sailing the kingdom holds more wonder - and more peril - than Amora anticipated. A destructive new magic is on the rise, and if Amora is to conquer it, she'll need to face legendary monsters, cross paths with vengeful mermaids, and deal with a stow-away she never expected... or risk the fate of Visidia and lose the crown forever.

This book was great! While I struggled to get through the first few chapters, after that I was sucked into the story and raced through it. It took me on a wild ride and I wasn’t always able to predict where this story was going. I thought there was a decent amount of world-building and I really enjoyed the characters too!
SPOILER-FREE SUMMARY
After a ceremonial demonstration that would prove her as the next capable Animancer and heir to the throne her father now sits on goes awry, Princess Amora of Visidia must escape and team up with a pirate, a mermaid, and her fiancé-to-be on a mission meant to save her kingdom and restore her people’s faith in her as the heir. Sailing across the islands of her kingdom for the first time will show her many things and unfortunately uncover new problems. To prove her worth as the next ruler she must defeat the infamous Kaven of Kudoh, who controls this island that was banished from her kingdom years ago with an iron fist. Will she be able to accomplish her goals? Will this makeshift crew be enough to save Visidia from the wicked Kaven?
I loved our main characters Amora, Bastian, Ferrick and Vataea and I thought they had great chemistry throughout the story as well as great character development as individuals.
This story had a decent amount of darkness mixed in with the light, a balance of good versus bad. It was an epic journey, and while I predicted one or two things it still flowed nicely and I found myself obsessively turning the pages, thinking about it when I wasn’t reading. The ending was a little disappointing for me, but I still can’t wait to see what happens in the sequel!
