The series is getting better and better with each book! Secrets are being brought to light, and the Boys of Bellerose are forced to come to face to face with some hard truths that their love for Billie is something that they can't live without. Jace, Rhett, Grayson, and Angelo all embark on a journey thanks to their relationship with Billie, which makes them better people. I love that these boys aren't afraid to get in touch with their feelings.
Billie is a strong character, having to be the center of the boys' world, so she isn't afraid to say what what's on her mind and I love that! The banter is great, the story line keeps you on your toes! Can't wait to read the last installment!❤️

My rockgod how this story consumes me! I am obsessed with this rock meets mafia world and the messy, toxic, complicated relationships of these mesmerizing characters. The energy, the chemistry, the drama, the tension, the twists! I can’t stop reading- it’s a total addiction!

There’s been so much angst and heartache - past and present, and after a sea of years and years of misunderstandings, assumptions, and secrets, it feels like these characters are finally having some breakthroughs, finally making some forward momentum out of the chains of their pasts. Shattered Dream is all about letting go, about empathy and forgiveness. It’s about these characters reconciling the literal shattered dreams of their past (and in some cases their present) but it’s also about shattering their baggage, finally working through their anger, grief, and pain. Each of our characters has to confront what they’ve been repressing or running from- they have to shatter the illusions and facades they’ve created, because if not they can never stop living in the past. To move forward, they HAVE to face their history, as a collective and as individuals, to find a way to actually have a futured. Reconciliation, reparation, and redemption. “I need to let the past go because it’s breaking me.” Well, that’s their new mantra. And for too long they’ve hidden from the hard work of healing and growing- but now, well, now they have no choice. Not if they want to survive the insanity happening around them. But more so, so they can find a way to authentically connect with each other. To have what they want and need they have to LET GO and stop hiding from their trauma. And so we have SO much beautiful and needed vulnerability, some responsible (YES FOR THERAPY!) steps forward, and yes, some steps back along the way too. But now all of our character recognizing surviving is not ENOUGH. They can thrive- together. But they have to do the work. It’s romantic existentialism at its finest- and it’s SO psychologically delicious, not to mention radically entertaining with all of the mafia danger and intrigue happening all around them.

But hang on tight. There are some MAJOR heartbreaking twists. And we get some glimpses into the past that REALLY freaking hurt. I cried, more than once. This book is perhaps the most emotionally immersive yet- we have to wade into the dark with these characters as they start to face it, it’s the only way to find the light. They might not all know just HOW to confront their demons, but now at least they know they have to. They want to- because they are being eaten alive by their ghosts. Because love might NOT be enough- not without healing. I was GUTTED by some major developments in this book, and of course by the jaw dropping ending that has me BEGGING for the finale. But hope is blossoming from despair more and more, and each of these men start to complete and heal our Billie more and more too- just like she completes and heals each of them. They are starting to find a whole. Now, they just need to find their power to overthrow all that restrains them internal and external- and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!

Hmmm, that ending. Honestly, I am not sure I trust Valentina. Because, what was her reason to come on the tour. Sure, she was a supportive friend or whatever, or maybe even for her safety. But, somehow that doesn't feel enough reason. I am suspicious she could be the reason behind The dirty truths.

I really really liked the first book but stretching it to 4 books is just too much in my opinion, nothing gets resolved, conversations start just to get cut off. A lot of page fillers just to get to something slightly exciting in the last 20 pages. I am putting the book away a lot because I am growing bored. It is so different from the other series by tate james 🙁
